PSV overclasses ADO while lacking goals
- Celia Perrone
A powerful PSV has booked a meager victory at ADO Den Haag in-house. Despite a countless opportunity, it became 'only' 3-1 for the people of Eindhoven.
PSV was considered to be the parent over the entire first half, but after 33 minutes of play they still faced a backlog. Outstanding Thomas Necid got the ball in the penalty area, after which he shot hard past Jeroen Zoet.
The people from Eindhoven appealed for hands, but VAR Pol van Boekel and Danny Makkelie approved the hit.

He already managed twice in qualifying for the Champions League, but now PSV-acquisition Bruma also has his first Eredivisie goal. The hit, however, was not of great beauty, because at the suggestion of Steven Bergwijn, the Portuguese outwit the hopeless Robert Zwinkels through the body of Danny Bakker: 1-1.
PSV suffered a disappointment shortly after the break when Hirving Lozano had to leave the field injured . Cody Gakpo was a cold substitute for the Mexican when Donyell Malen took the lead with his first of the season: 2-1. The preparatory work of Michal Sadilek cannot be left unmentioned.
PSV kept looking for the third and probably decisive goal, which didn't seem to be coming. Dumfries seemed to take care of that third twice, but first saw his goal being rejected and headed a little later from free position just wide.
Malen was very close ten minutes before the end of a beautiful attack, but the bar prevented him. In the end, Gakpo managed to lock the game. The attacker crowned his excellent raid with an extremely curious hit.
