Ric Flair cleared to wrestle by WWE?
Ric Flair surprisingly confirmed he has been cleared to wrestle during an interview with Corey Graves on his brand new "After The Bell" podcast.
'The Nature Boy' made the remark during discussion on his Team Flair/Team Hogan clash at Crown Jewel, suggesting that he might have been involved himself had the company been keen to use him.
He said, “That’s a secret, I’ve been cleared. I’ve got a medical release. So, never, ever forget who the dirtiest player in the game is, man. I’ll be equipped and ready, in the words of Pedro Morales, for any kind of action!”
Flair got briefly involved in action with 'The Hulkster' during the Monday Night Raw build for the show, and has been given promo time for the story for the first time in several years.
It is likely bluster and bravado, but credit to Flair for still stoking the fires. At 70-years old and in evidently precarious health following several recent scares, the quote sounds more like the fantasist within 'Slick Ric' escaping with the hope of one last hurrah. But (much) stranger things have happened in the company in the last year, let alone the rest of its bizarre history.
