A long-injured popular AEW star made their surprise return on last night’s (October 27) episode of Rampage.
Mark Briscoe has been off AEW television since July, when he sustained a knee injury that required surgery and kept him out of action for several months.
Briscoe was slated to challenge Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH World Championship at ROH Death Before Dishonor, but was pulled from the show due to suffering the injury, being replaced by Pac.
However, it seems as though Mark Briscoe is officially back in the fold, as he made a surprise return on last night’s Rampage show.
Briscoe interrupted a segment with Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford on last night’s Rampage show, clearing the ring of Kip and Penelope after they were running down the local sports teams.
Briscoe was one of the most popular wrestlers in AEW following the support he received after his brother’s tragic passing back in January.
He last competed in a three-way on the July 6 episode of ROH, defeating JD Drake and Tony Nese in a three-way match.
