AEW’s Eddie Kingston has revealed why he quit Twitter and slammed those who ‘feel like their opinions’ matter on the platform.

In March 2023, Kingston revealed he chose to quit Twitter after seeing ‘evil s**t’ being posted about Riho.
Recently, Kingston has further addressed his thoughts about Twitter while also discussing why he keeps his personal life private.

In a recent interview on the Wilde On podcast, he would explain why nobody knows about his personal life, saying:
“I was raised like that, I was raised that it is nobody’s business. Nobody gives a f**k . You have your opinion and like my mother would tell me, ‘opinions are like assholes, everyone got one and they all stink’.
“I guess the age of social media has made people feel like their opinions matter. Look folks, I’m not gonna lie to you, it doesn’t.”

He would go on to discuss his departure from Twitter, reiterating what he’d seen being tweeted about Riho, stating:
“I quit Twitter because I just saw some nasty s**t that someone wrote about Riho.
“I was having a bad day as it was anyway. I got COVID, I was supposed to go to Ireland and I got COVID before going to Ireland.

“So I was already mad, and then I’m just flipping through my phone, I just saw something, it was a guy, it wasn’t even a person, it was a goose gimmick.
“So they didn’t even have a profile picture, but it was just some nasty s**t and I was like, I’m over this. I’m done.
“It just became toxic, it was worse than Myspace. Yeah, I’m dating myself.”

Kingston has recently shared his praise of WWE’s LA Knight saying “that dude busts his ass.”
It was recently announced that Eddie Kingston will defend the ROH World Title against former champion Dalton Castle.
