A long-injured top AEW star has revealed the date they are hoping to return to the company if it’s ‘in God’s hands’.

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa has been out of action since August of 2022, when she relinquished the championship ahead of a scheduled defence at that year’s All Out show.
Rosa was sidelined with a back injury, of which she has still yet to return.
Rosa was originally advertised as a key figure in the launch of AEW Collision, but never appeared on the show despite appearing in a backstage segment walking into Tony Khan’s office.

However, Rosa recently appeared in the advertisement for the upcoming episode of Collision in San Antonio in her home state of Texas on December 23, leading many to believe that could be the date of her return to the company.
Speaking to the San Antonio Express, Rosa was asked about the possibility of returning to San Antonio for the show, to which she said that she would return on the show if it was in ‘God’s hands’.

She said:
“There was hope ‘Maybe I can do it in Oakland.’ It’s in God’s hands right now. If it’s in God’s hands, I return on December 23. I think that would be such a blessing. I would be doing it again in front of my people. People that have been with me throughout this whole entire journey, the good and bad moment. What better way than to repay them with a happy moment.
“At the end of the day, I return, and life has given you another opportunity to do something you love is such a blessing.”

Rosa has previously said that she is ready to return whenever Tony Khan calls her.
