On tonight’s AEW Collision, there was an update on the condition of Bryan Danielson after he was attacked by Jon Moxley.

With the official AEW account referring to Yuta as being ‘shell shocked’ after being forced to witness the brutal betrayal of Bryan Danielson at the hands of Jon Moxley, Yuta returned on Collision with an update of sorts.
While he was restrained in the ring at All Out and thereby powerless to help, he watched one mentor literally attempt to suffocate the other in abject horror.
In a backstage interview with Lexy Nair upon his arrival to the arena for Collision tonight, Wheeler Yuta was seemingly still in a disconnected state.

While normally poised and well spoken, Yuta was instead distracted and depressed but vowed to try and give his all in the ring.
Yuta said he wouldn’t reveal specifics out of respect for Danielson but that his mentor was doing ‘the best he could’.
Yuta would go on mention that his opponent for his match tonight Anthony Henry was a strong competitor.

While somewhat despondent during the match and being on the receiving end of a lot of offense, he fired up at the end and picked up the win over Henry with a violent homage to Danielson.
Later, Nigel McGuinness gave his own side of the historic rivalry between he and Danielson, 16 years after their feud.

About Danielson’s ability to compete at Grand Slam – with Jon Moxley having told Darby Allin that Danielson wouldn’t be able to compete – McGuinness said:
“When Jon Moxley convinced Darby Allin to put his title opportunity on the line, he did it out of pure speculation. Which is what I said to Tony Khan.
“There’s no way that we can know Bryan Danielson won’t be able to show up at Grand Slam. So I said, if he is, with Darby Allin no longer able to face him, I would like to.”
