AEW to tape 'ROH Special' for Jay Briscoe following AEW Dynamite

The wrestling world is still mourning the loss of ROH World Tag Team Champion Jay Briscoe (Jamin Pugh), who tragically passed away last night.

Jamin tragically passed away aged 38 in a car accident in Laurel, Delaware which also took the life of another person who was driving a vehicle involved in the accident.
Tonight’s (January 18) episode of Dynamite opened up with a memorial graphic for Pugh, with Jay Lethal wearing an armband with his name on during the opening match.

Tony Khan took to Twitter during the show to announce that a special ROH tribute to Jay Briscoe will be filmed after tonight’s Dynamite.
The tribute will air soon for free on Honor Club.

He tweeted:

Our thoughts continue to be with Pugh’s family, friends, and all those affected by his passing, and we send our best wishes to his daughters as they recover.
