AEW Rampage results – May 1, 2024

This week’s episode of AEW Rampage immediately continues following the conclusion of Dynamite. Kenny Omega is wheeled onto a stretcher backstage with FTR by his side. Once backstage, The Elite attack FTR. Matthew Jackson tells Omega it isn’t personal, it’s just business and throws him off the stretcher onto the floor.

Jay White (w/ Bullet Club Gold) defeated Dante Martin
Jay White hits Dante Martin with the Bladerunner to secure the pinfall victory.
After the match, White takes a cheap shot at Martin but gets out of the ring before Darius Martin and Action Andretti get to the ring.

Deonna Purrazzo is backstage. Purrazzo asks when is enough, enough? Purrazzo says after last week, she’s starting to feel like herself again. Deonna says if Thunder Rosa wants to make this personal… we can make it personal.

A video package plays for RUSH, who returned to AEW last week on Collision.

Big Bill is backstage. Bill says he believes that he has all the tools necessary to make it to the top of the industry; all he’s ever been missing is proper guidance. Bill says Chris Jericho is the man to take him to the promised land.
Chris Jericho shows up and says he was able to retain his FTW Championship, and Big Bill cheering him on makes him realize he was right. Jericho says he wants to bring Bill into the Jericho Vortex and teach him. Bill says he won’t let him down. Jericho says with Bill by his side, he will hold the FTW Championship for a long time.

Swerve Strickland is backstage and says he’s about to remind Christian Cage and his family who the hell he is. Strickland says he will confront Cage and his family next week, and he won’t be alone. Swerve ends the segment with an evil laugh.

Kyle O’Reilly defeated Rocky Romero
Kyle O’Reilly reverses Rocky Romero’s armbar into a rollup to score the pinfall victory.

Saraya and Harley Cameron are backstage. The two women pick on Mariah May and Toni Storm and what happened tonight on Dynamite. Cameron seemingly challenges May to a match on Dynamite next week. At least, we believe that’s what happened; it was a confusing segment.

The Undisputed Kingdom are backstage. Matt Taven says the fact that neck strong has been trending for the last week, and he finds that disrespectful because the man wearing the neck brace is too hurt to travel, but Roderick Strong rose above it all and fought on with a neck brace.
Roderick Strong says he’s heard Will Opsreay has retired the Tiger Driver ’91. Strong says Ospreay better unretire it as he’ll need every bullet in his chamber to have a chance against him at Double or Nothing. Strong says The Undisputed Kingdom decides where AEW goes from here.

Willow Nightingale defeated Skye Blue in a Manitoba Massacre match to retain the TBS Championship
Willow Nightingale hits Skye Blue with The Babe with the Powerbomb through a barbwire table at ringside to score the pinfall victory.
Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway come out to celebrate with Willow as AEW Rampage goes off the air.
