So it seems like we may finally be coming to an end of the CM Punk and AEW drama.

AEW are reportedly set to launch a prime time Saturday night show, likely named AEW Collision, which would feature Punk as a way to keep him separate from the Elite.
The company has tentatively pencilled in the June 21 episode of Dynamite in Chicago, or at least around that time, as the date of his return.
Punk coming back is a risk that Tony Khan will be taking, but it’s one that could prove to be worth it, as there are still many matches waiting for Punk in AEW that we need to see.
Here’s a look at a few of them…

CM PUNK VS. KENNY OMEGA
Lets get the obvious out of the way here.
If these matches are somehow possible, they’ll make Tony Khan a lot of money.
The latest report from Fightful Select noted that Punk was willing to return to AEW, including a willingness to work with the Elite.
If the Elite are able to also be willing to work with Punk, then the natural first story back for Punk would be against them, which sets up a series of big matches, with Omega vs Punk being the marquee singles match for All Out.
As for All In…

CM PUNK & FTR VS. THE ELITE
Bigger than perhaps any of the singles matches is the potential six-man tag team match between Punk’s team and the Elite.
FTR recently revealed that they have re-signed with the company, with their new deals lasting for four years, so they’re not going anywhere any time soon.
FTR, specifically Dax Harwood, have been Punk’s biggest supporters since All Out, so them standing by his side to go face to face with the Elite inside Wembley Stadium would be a moment.
Lets hope everyone can put this all behind them, for the good of the business.

CM PUNK VS. CHRIS JERICHO
Lastly, we have Chris Jericho, who is also now involved in this situation.
Chris Jericho is set to be a part of a meeting with Punk, FTR, Tony Khan and possibly other AEW stars to see if they can agree to work with each other, which if they can, could potentially be the big storyline to start off the new Saturday show.
Punk took aim at Jericho in his now infamous Instagram post, so the two of them facing off would also be a big match for AEW to run at some point.
Jericho is currently on course for a match against Adam Cole, which could be a precursor to his and Punk’s inevitable battle.

CM PUNK VS. MJF
Ok so yes we’ve already seen Punk and MJF go at it twice, but the promos were outstanding and the matches were incredible so would anyone truly mind seeing it again?
The reported plan would have been for us to get Punk vs MJF at Full Gear, with MJF beating Punk to win the title instead of Moxley, with Punk’s injury and everything else forcing a change of plans.
Now, Max is the champion, and Punk never lost the title. That’s an additional little wrinkle in this story.
I can’t think of where this would happen, but it would be very fitting for All Out in Chicago, exactly one year after all this stuff began.

CM PUNK VS. HIROSHI TANAHASHI
While we did get to see Punk take on MJF, this is one match we were robbed of.
Punk vs Tanahashi was the original AEW World Championship match planned for Forbidden Door last year, but Punk’s injury put paid to that.
A year later, and Punk is reportedly set to be back the week of Forbidden Door, and if you want him on the show, which you do, what’s the easiest match against an NJPW star to set up?
Why, the match we never got last year, of course.

CM PUNK VS. ADAM PAGE
The other name that Punk called out in the press conference was Adam Page, a man he claims ‘hasn’t achieved anything’ in wrestling.
Weird thing to say about a former World Champion of the very company you’re in, but we move.
Page seems like a guy who just wants to move on from all of this drama, so I imagine he’d be game to move on and make money with Punk.
Punk and Page’s first match was pretty great, and the real life story here would likely make the sequel even better. Don’t forget, it was Page’s promo before their first match that really ramped up all of the drama to begin with.

CM PUNK VS. BRYAN DANIELSON
We never got to see Punk vs Bryan in AEW before everything went down with Punk, but second time is the charm.
Bryan and Punk obviously have a lot of history and are basically joined at the hip throughout their careers, including them both coming into AEW at the same time.
This is still one of the biggest matches that AEW could put on, and the fact that it is now once again a possibility is one of the major exciting prospects of a Punk return.
But of course, there are other members of the Blackpool Combat Club he could step into the ring with.

CM PUNK VS. JON MOXLEY
We saw CM Punk vs Jon Moxley enough last year, but if Tony Khan wanted to run it back now with the additional heat, I wouldn’t be against it.
Punk targeted Mox during his Instagram tirade where he told the world he had never seen Rocky, which included telling Mox he thought his story idea ‘sucked’.
Punk’s last match in AEW was against Moxley, so that’s a natural lead in to the potential feud.
Maybe this time they can replicate Rocky IV, though I’d probably be a bit worried about that if I was Ace Steel.
