WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns has now hit a major milestone ahead of Night of Champions 2023.

Since Roman Reigns’ return to WWE in August 2020, the Tribal Chief has been presented as one of the most dominant stars in WWE history.
A week after his surprise comeback at SummerSlam 2020, Reigns defeated Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman in a three-way match for the Universal Championship at the Payback premium live event.
Payback notably took place on August 30, 2020. As of Saturday (May 27), Reigns has now held this title for 1000 days.

Over the course of the past 1000 days, Reigns has defeated numerous top stars to retain his gold, including John Cena, Edge, Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes.
Reigns is currently recognised as the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion, after unifying the Universal and WWE titles in April 2020 after defeating Lesnar for the latter title at WrestleMania 38.
The Tribal Chief most recently defended his gold against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39, defeating the American Nightmare in a polarising match.

At Night of Champions, Reigns will team with Solo Sikoa to challenge for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn’s WWE Tag Team Championship.
Also at the event, a new World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned, with Seth Rollins and AJ Styles set to face off for the new title.
