On the May 6 episode of WWE Raw, it was announced that Damage CTRL’s Asuka had been pulled from the Queen of the Ring tournament.

Her replacement would be announced as fellow Damage CTRL member Dakota Kai who faced Lyra Valkyria later that evening.
Fightful Select has been able to confirm that Asuka’s injury is legitimate and that the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion was at last night’s WWE Raw in Hartford, Connecticut.
Kai’s journey in the Queen of the Ring Tournament was cut short by Lyra Valkyria who progressed to the Quarterfinals.

After the match, Kai tweeted a short message, saying:

After last night’s WWE Raw, the Queen of the Ring tournament will see Lyra Valkyria facing Zoey Stark in the Quarterfinals.
Iyo Sky will face the winner of the non-televised Zelina Vega vs Shayna Baszler match that is due to take place this coming weekend.
In March 2024, it was reported that Asuka had been pulled from house shows having injured her knee on the March 15 episode of WWE SmackDown.

At the time of writing, it isn’t clear what Asuka’s injury is or how long she will be away from in-ring competition.
JJA Sport Studio wishes Asuka well as she recovers from this injury.
