A WWE star leaving the company was said to be a ‘real possibility’ ahead of their contract expiration and re-signing.
Numerous WWE contracts have come up for expiration over the past few months, which has seen several WWE stars depart the company, including Ricochet and Dijak.
Another WWE contract that came up for expiration was Natalya’s but PWInsider reported last night that Natalya had re-signed with the company.
In an update from Fightful Select, Fightful confirmed that Natalya has re-signed with the company, and the deal was completed in late June, shortly before it expired.
Natalya was not present at this week’s WWE Raw show, but the deal was said to already have been in place by then, and she has not been at any WWE shows since re-signing.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp noted that WWE started talks with Natalya in May, with her looking to make sure that outside projects she was working on lined up with the terms of her new deal.
Sources also confirmed to Fightful that the deal was a multi-year contract.
Natalya had interest outside of WWE, but most companies had expected her to remain with the company, with Natalya’s husband TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd) also having interest from multiple companies as a producer.
Fightful notes that WWE learned that losing Natalya was a real possibility, and they wanted to get her signed long-term before she hit the free agency period, which the two sides did manage to get done.
