A notable WWE name has teased a wrestling return, after over eight years away from the ring.

While Wade Barrett has established himself as a WWE commentator, many fans remember him for his in-ring stint with the company.
With Barrett stepping away from the ring in 2016, many fans have called for the former Intercontinental Champion to lace up his boots and share the ring with members of the current WWE roster.
Barrett has now fuelled speculation that he will soon make a wrestling comeback, responding to WWE’s Twitter account, which shared a playlist of Barrett’s in-ring moments.

Correcting WWE, who referenced Barrett’s career highlights, the former King of the Ring winner wrote:

Wade Barrett hasn’t wrestled since the April 4, 2016 episode of Raw, when he teamed with Sheamus in a losing effort against Big E & Kofi Kingston of the New Day.
Barrett is currently establishing himself behind the Raw commentary table, with Barrett calling the action on Monday nights alongside new WWE commentator Joe Tessitore.
