At tonight’s WWE Backlash (May 4) in Lyon, France, Jey Uso took on Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

In another big title match at the premium live event WWE Backlash, the World Heavyweight Championship that Priest has held since WrestleMania was the line.
Damian Priest looked to secure his dominance on WWE Raw as he attempted to defend the title against ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso in front of a thunderous French crowd.

With the Lyon, France crowd squarely behind Jey Uso it would unfortunately prove to not be enough to topple the Judgment Day.
With multiple interferences from JD McDonagh and then later Finn Balor as well, Damian Priest was angry about the assistance even though he ultimately seemed to have needed it to get by Uso.

After a formidable showing, Jey Uso did not beat Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Priest, as noted, was not happy about Balor and McDonagh getting involved, and confronted them after the match when they tried to continue to attack Uso.
Elsewhere on tonight’s premium live event, Bayley retained her WWE Women’s Championship against both Naomi and Tiffany Stratton.
