Chris Jericho has reacted to claims that the crowd reaction was ‘piped in’ during his message for Kenny Omega at AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash.
Omega is currently out of action having been admitted to hospital for diverticulitis, which is the inflammation caused by pouches or bulges called diverticula forming in the walls of the large intestine/colon.
Tweeting about the condition, Omega confirmed that he would be “out indefinitely”
On the December 20 episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho would also confirm that Omega is out of action indefinitely and that the plans for the Golden Jets were on hold.
Footage from Jericho’s announcement was shared on Twitter and can be seen below this news story.
In response to the announcement, an AEW fan replied on Twitter, going on to ask:
“Not a fan of Kenny but hope he pulls through.
“Also did they pipe in crowd noise when the claps started??”
Jericho would respond to the suggestion, tweeting:
Nope! That was ALL our amazing crowd here in #OKC tonight! #aewdynamite @AEW https://t.co/Ll54sIUCz4
