Triple H was among a team of WWE executives who met with a Warner Bros Discovery this week to speak about a potential TV rights deal.
During a recent report indicating that a deal for TV rights for Monday Night Raw will be ‘finalized pretty soon‘, it was noted that a WWE deal with Warner Bros Discovery isn’t completely out of the question, with CM Punk’s return to WWE believed to have ‘opened up what may have been a closed door.’
Mike Johnson of PWInsider has provided further details of the recent meeting between WWE and WBD, noting that WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H and WWE President Nick Khan met with WBD Chief Revenue and Strategy Officer Bruce Campbell for several hours on Monday (December 11) morning.
Johnson wrote:
This past Monday morning TKO’s Marc Shapiro as well as WWE’s Nick Khan and Paul Levesque were in NYC at the Warner Bros. Discovery headquarters meeting with WBD executive Bruce Campbell about potentially moving Raw to the WBD family.
Campbell holds the position of Chief Revenue and Strategy Officer. We are told that the WWE contingent met with Campbell for several hours Monday AM with at least part of the meeting taking place in a conference room usually reserved for David Zaslav.
Warner Bros Discovery owns TBS and TNT, the home of AEW Dynamite, Rampage and Collision.
Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel has previously discussed the media rights talks, stating that they were having ‘good conversations’ with a number of potential partners.
Among the partners that have been in the conversation have been Amazon Prime and Disney-owned FX.
In September 2023, it was announced that WWE SmackDown would be heading to USA Network in October 2024 with the company producing four primetimes specials for NBC.
It was also recently reported that TNA Wrestling would be entering into a partnership with Endeavor to deliver the TNA+ streaming service.
