At last week’s AEW Rampage tapings, Ric Flair delivered a line that would prove controversial in front of the live Dynamite crowd.

After the November 29 episode of AEW Dynamite, content was recorded for that week’s Rampage, including a promo featuring Sting and Flair.
In reports that emerged in the wake of Flair’s words on microphone, it was reported he had “invited all the women in the audience from ages 18-28 to meet him in his hotel room. No boyfriends or husbands.”

As noted in the report, Flair had responded to the backlash over the line, promising to “walk away” if he was ’embarrassing to Tony Khan and AEW.’
The line, it transpires, wouldn’t make it to the December 1 episode of AEW Rampage.

According to Fightful Select, the decision to edit out the line was something that AEW knew that they’d be doing “immediately”.
Last week’s AEW Rampage saw an increase in viewership over the pre-empted episode of November 25 which was run ahead of AEW Collision.
Elsewhere, Ric Flair gifted a $2,000 pair of sunglasses to AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy.
