Former WWE star to make Impact Wrestling debut

Former WWE star Kalisto is making his IMPACT Wrestling debut this weekend as Samuray Del Sol at the tapings being held in Chicago.

He signed with WWE on a developmental contract in May 2013 and would remain with the company until his release in April 2021 having worked his way up from NXT to the main roster.
Before joining WWE, Samuray Del Sol was well-known on the independent scene.
IMPACT Wrestling announced Samuray Del Sol’s debut for their two-day TV tapings taking place this weekend.

At the Friday tapings, he will team with Black Taurus and Laredo Kid to take on the team of Bully Ray, Moose and Brian Myers.
Saturday, July 29 will see him in singles action taking on Chris Sabin.
Samuray Del Sol has appeared on AEW Dynamite, teaming with Aero Star to take on FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) for the AAA World Tag Team Title.

During his time as Kalisto in WWE, he held the NXT Tag Team Championship with Sin Cara and would hold the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
He would also be a two-time WWE United States Champion.
The later years of his run in WWE would see him team with Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado as Lucha House Party.
He would be drafted to SmackDown in the WWE Draft of 2020 and have only one post-draft match in the April 2021 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal before his release.
