Here’s what happened with CM Punk after this week’s (April 26) WWE Draft edition of Friday Night SmackDown went off the air.

Friday’s show featured a number of surprises, with four rounds of this year’s draft revealed.
After the cameras stopped rolling, CM Punk made an appearance for the live crowd in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Sharing an update on his injury status, Punk noted that he’s not 100% healed, but is on track with his recovery.

After thanking the Cincinnati crowd, the former WWE Champion said:
“I want to give a little update, my tricep is not one hundred percent yet, but I am on track and I promise that soon I’ll be back and I’ll be competing with all of the tough badasses backstage.”

You can watch a video clip of Punk’s non-televised appearance below.
The clip ends with Punk being interrupted by Chad Gable and Alpha Academy. Gable recently turned heel, attacking Sami Zayn following their Intercontinental Title match on the April 15 Raw episode.
CM Punk suffered a torn tricep during January’s Royal Rumble match. He had a big impact on a title change at WrestleMania 40, attacking Drew McIntyre ahead of Damian Priest cashing in his Money in the Bank contract and winning the World Heavyweight Title
