Following his submission loss to Bryan Danielson at the June 25 Forbidden Door PPV event, the Rainmaker Kazuchika Okada has addressed the possibility of potentially getting his win back.

In the main event of AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2023, Okada and Danielson faced off in a dream encounter.
In a shocking moment, Danielson forced Okada to tap out, with commentary indicating that the Rainmaker had the upcoming G1 Climax tournament on his mind.
Speaking to Tokyo Sports, Okada seemed more than open to another battle with the American Dragon, however, he made sure to issue a stark word of warning as to the detriment it could have on Danielson’s health.

Referencing Danielson’s injury, Okada said:
“If there is a time to have a rematch, I’d like to win even if I have to break both of Danielson’s arms next time.”

Danielson suffered the broken arm following a diving elbow spot from Okada during their ‘dream’ encounter at Forbidden Door.
The injury reportedly played a part in the finish of the match being altered as Danielson was visibly in pain through the match’s closing stages.
With initial reports indicating that Danielson would be missing 6-8 weeks of action, an update from Danielson’s wife Brie Garcia revealed that the injury could in fact be worse than initially suspected.

So, in all likelihood the eventual Okada vs Danielson rematch may be a little while off despite the Rainmaker’s enthusiasm.
Numerous AEW creative plans were unsurprisingly scrapped due to Danielson’s injury.
One of which related to his participation in this year’s Blood & Guts match on the July 19 AEW Dynamite.
