'To close tonight’s May 1 AEW Dynamite, the return of Kenny Omega in his hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Addressing the AEW crowd in his hometown of Winnipeg, Kenny Omega discussed his absence from AEW and his recent health struggles.
Explaining that he was out of action due to diverticulitis, Omega said he was advised by doctors that there were a variety of options but with most ruling out an immediate return to wrestling without dire consequences.
Kenny Omega revealed that for a period of time he had stopped watching AEW because he was worried the next time he saw the fans, he would have to say he was retiring.
However, he did watch AEW Dynasty and realized that by the end he was shaking; going on to say he was going through withdrawals, he hates being away and already being forgotten.

Saying that “this isn’t over until I exhaust every option,” fans are not done with Kenny Omega yet ‘bag or no bag’.
Going on to seamlessly transition into talking about ‘two other s**t bags’, Kenny addressed the Young Bucks, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, directly.
Omega reminded them that they can fire him from the Elite but they can’t fire him from being an EVP, so a part of the power in the company still belongs to him.

However he was interrupted by the Young Bucks’ teammate in the Elite, Kazuchika Okada, and after a melee ensued, the newest Elite member Jack Perry hit Omega in the stomach with steel chair.
When the Young Bucks emerged, they pretended to call off Perry before they eventually hit Omega with an ‘EVP Trigger’.
Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR eventually came out to run off the Elite.

In a backstage segment after the break where Omega was being wheeled to an ambulance on a stretcher, the Elite struck again.
Taking out FTR who were accompanying Kenny, the Young Bucks flipped a helpless Omega out of the stretcher onto the ground as he continued to grasp his stomach in pain.
