With anticipation for the latest Tony Khan acquisition to be revealed at AEW Full Gear 2023, Mercedes Mone may be ruled out.

Copious buzz swirls around All Elite Wrestling and who could be the latest signing teased by CEO Tony Khan.
Khan had stated:

It seems now that at least one name is being denied by sources as not being the person planned to be revealed in the contract signing at Full Gear.
According to the most recent update from Fightful Select, their sources have denied that the mystery signing at Full Gear 2023 is Mercedes Mone, formerly Sasha Banks in WWE.
Mercedes Mone has been out of action after having suffered an ankle injury in a match against Willow Nightingale at NJPW STRONG Resurgence in May 2023 and later undergoing surgery.
Khan has been very open to saying in interviews and press conferences that he wants to work with Mone when she’s back from injury, but she isn’t expected to be the new signing announced at Full Gear “if people in the company are to be believed”.

Mercedes Mone was shown on screen at AEW All In London, seated in a suite in the crowd.
According to the report, Mone is still thought to be in the works to appear for AEW, and it just remains a question of when.
