A former WWE star has revealed the inspiration behind her new AEW character.

At AEW All Out 2023, CJ Perry, formerly known as Lana in WWE, made her debut for All Elite Wrestling by attempting to help her husband Miro following his match with Powerhouse Hobbs.
Since then, “The Hot & Flexible” Perry has been scouting talent for a potential management company that Miro seems hell bent on stopping.
Appearing on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, the former Lana was asked about leaning into the hot and flexible gimmick that Miro introduced in AEW.

Mentioning that it stems from Miro being annoyed that she was exploited in WWE, Perry said:
“So I think that Miro named me hot and flexible because he was so annoyed that I was so, I guess, exploited in WWE,”
“I don’t really look at it that way; I look at it as more of like, I’m thankful for the opportunity.”

“And you know, thankful that yeah, and apparently I was believable to be someone’s girlfriend, someone’s wife, someone’s ex-wife adulterous, you know, the revenge. And it’s TV, it’s television, you know, and so it has to be believable.”
“So because of that, and I was always stirring the pot of being the bad guy, the heel.”
“In men’s storylines, the only way that they felt creative that they could pay off getting like punching me in the face because they couldn’t punch me in the face was basically calling me like a streetwalker, like The Rock called me or an escort or, you know, all the flexible things that I did with The Rock.”

CJ Perry has currently set her sights on Andrade El Idolo as the latest star she is scouting to manage on AEW Collision.
