There has been a major update on the possibility of CM Punk being revealed as the ‘Devil’ in AEW amid fan theories online.

CM Punk was fired from his contracts with AEW back on September 2 following the investigation into the backstage incident at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium in August.
Since the ‘Devil’ appeared on AEW television, fans online have begun speculating that it could be an elaborate work, and that Punk could somehow be revealed to be the Devil when the time comes.

Punk himself has not helped things, sharing multiple teases and references to the Devil on his Instagram stories over the past few weeks.
In an update from Fightful Select, those in AEW that have spoken to Fighful are of the belief that Punk is in fact not the Devil, and that it would be a ‘huge work’ on those in the know if that was the case.

Those in AEW have told Fightful that the masked attackers used on TV are indeed the people planned to be revealed when the time comes, and it goes without saying that Punk has not been portraying the person under the Devil mask on television.
Another name that Fightful were told was not the Devil is Britt Baker, who made comments recently addressing the fan speculation she was under the mask.
With Punk out of contention to be the Devil, all eyes turn to WWE Survivor Series for his next potential return to wrestling, with him also recently heavily teasing showing up at the event.
