An update has emerged on the status of Chris Jericho ahead of AEW Full Gear 2023, following online concern about Jericho potentially suffering an injury.

Jericho is slated to team with Kenny Omega to face off against the Young Bucks the November 18 pay-per-view.
Ahead of this bout, Jericho competed in an eight-man tag-team street fight, teaming with Omega, Paul Wight and Kota Ibushi to defeat Brian Cage, Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher & Powerhouse Hobbs on the November 15 edition of Dynamite.
Following this match, Jericho confirmed that he suffered a burn from pyro during Kenny Omega’s entrance ahead of the bout.
Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jericho was hit by a spark from the pyro, but the burn ‘did no damage’.

Meltzer clarified:
The story that Jericho suffered a burn from the pyro before the street fight was overblown.
A spark did hit his arm and did no damage but he was having fun on the Internet with it and then the story got exaggerated.

Jericho and Omega will wrestle as the ‘Golden Jets’ in their match against the Young Bucks.
