CM Punk has returned to All Elite Wrestling in a fiery promo in front of an excited Chicago crowd tonight (June 17.) Find out what he said!

With CM Punk returning to AEW, fans expected him to kick off the night with some thoughts but no one truly knew what to expect.
As Punk made his big entrance, he notably carried a red drawstring bag with a pair of symbolic boots around his neck.

Kicking off the spicy promo, CM Punk said: “I don’t know if you guys heard, but I’m tired of being nice.”
Going on to land several major lines including that it was fine for any of us to call Punk whatever we wanted, reading several signs in the crowd including ‘Pepsi Phil’ as an approved moniker, because the President of Warner Brothers Discovery calls him a nickname too: “One bill Phil,” a reference to the unproven rumors there was a one billion dollar deal to launch AEW Collision, adding that he was the real deal among “counterfeit Bucks.”
While CM Punk had choice words, he was direct with his appreciation for the fans of AEW, saying:

“I’m tired of being nice, tell me when I’m telling lies. I did all these things, I got here to this place, riding a wave of smart, passionate, professional wrestling fans like you.”

He went on to say that if there were any fans that felt that he owed them an apology, he was sorry… and he was sorry that some fans favorite wrestlers were ‘softer’ than they were.
Returning the favor from monthS past, the crowd briefly chanted, “F**k the Elite,” however it was quickly drowned out.
Giving an answer for his bag, alluding that the AEW World Championship was inside of the bag, he noted it was his because he earned it and he wouldn’t give it up until someone pinned him or submitted him for it.

For those who don’t remember, Punk’s last match until tonight was a win over Jon Moxley for the title, but he was stripped of the title when he was first suspended after AllOut.
And as for the boots around his neck?

CM Punk explained:
“Until there is somebody in this company who can fill these boots, they belong on my feet.
Tell me when I’m telling lies.”

He went on to literally drop the mic.
“Damn son!” Kevin Kelly responded as Nigel McGuinness added, “Statement made.”
Turning back around at the entrance ramp to tell the camera, “I didn’t come here to be a star, I am a star.”
CM Punk is back!
