Whilst backstage for his long-awaited AEW return at the June 17 Collision premiere, CM Punk was gifted a custom championship belt to celebrate the occasion.

The custom title came via the Chicago Blackhawks NHL team, which Punk is a massive fan of, and was hand-delivered by the team’s mascot Tommy Hawk.
Hawk and Punk took pictures together with the special Blackhawks themed title and even shared a heartfelt embrace (as you can see below).
While Punk will no doubt be thrilled with the gift, his long-term focus seems to be in regaining the AEW World Championship from MJF, a title that Punk never lost.

This was referenced by Punk in his returning promo on Collision as Punk seemed to be carrying around a bag that contained the championship within it.
While another match with MJF seems to be in Punk’s future, the massive question mark is whether Punk will one day stand across the ring from The Elite, despite their legal problems.
It’s been reported that CM Punk is planned for tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Chicago, and therefore The Elite won’t be there.

It’s possible that Punk and Kenny Omega might end up on the same card for Forbidden Door this Sunday as a Punk vs KENTA match has been discussed, but it isn’t 100% confirmed yet.
In the interview with ESPN last week, Punk confirmed that his attempts to talk with The Elite after All Out were met with legal letters telling him he wasn’t allowed to.
