The role for CM Punk on the July 1 edition of AEW Collision has been announced.
As previously reported, Fightful revealed that CM Punk was set to be part of the AEW Collision taping for the July 1 episode. However, his role on the show wasn’t confirmed.
On June 29, AEW President Tony Khan announced that Punk will be the special guest commentator for the Samoa Joe vs. Roderick Strong Owen Hart Cup Men’s Tournament Quarterfinals match on this Saturday’s show. The tweet of the announcement reads:

The winner of Joe vs. Strong will face CM Punk on the July 8 episode of AEW Collision. The winner will then move on to the finals on the July 15 edition.
