It is now officially official that CM Punk will be making his return to All Elite Wrestling.

Punk is officially announced to be a part of the debut episode of AEW Collision at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday, June 17.
Tony Khan announced Punk’s presence for the show on last week’s Dynamite, with the announcement being met with a noticeable mixed reaction from the fans in San Diego.
Punk will receive a hero’s welcome in Chicago, but it’s the shows following his return outside of Chicago that will tell the story of his reactions.
Speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, AEW star Matt Hardy discussed Punk’s upcoming return, questioning what kind of reactions he would get upon his return.

He said:
“CM Punk, he is a huge star, so him coming back is a big deal. It’s just gonna be really interesting to see what kind of reaction he gets.
“I know when the Young Bucks were in Chicago, they were getting booed out of the building. They were polarizing. It’s gonna be interesting to see how CM Punk’s reactions are as well, especially with how smart the All Elite Wrestling fans are.”

Matt Hardy is currently teaming with his brother Jeff in the company, with the Hardys teaming with Hook to defeat Ethan Page and the Gunns on the Double or Nothing Buy-In.
