Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Adam Page all re-signed with AEW recently, though were told to “keep quiet” about it.

The news that The Elite had signed a new contract with AEW came out on August 2, with Tony Khan discussing the news shortly thereafter.
Since then, further details have emerged, including news that The Elite was always going to decide as a collective and had a back-and-forth about going to WWE.
From the WWE side of things, it has been reported that they had an interest in The Elite and particularly in Kenny Omega.

Dave Meltzer has addressed the timeline of the signing and its announcement on Wrestling Observer Radio, saying:
“They actually made the deal, I would guess it was a couple of weeks ago, I don’t know the date, but I do know the deal was already made and he told them to keep quiet on it because he wanted to announce it on August 2 in conjunction with the 200th episode.”

Omega has addressed the decision to re-sign with AEW over WWE in a recent interview.
With The Elite not being free agents, it had previously been reported that the ongoing lawsuit with MLW had meant WWE wouldn’t engage with contracted AEW wrestlers.
The lawsuit between MLW and WWE has seen the Endeavor-owned company accused of “many years of egregious anticompetitive behavior.”
