AEW Dynamite 200 saw a big championship win for Hikaru Shida as she became the new AEW Women’s Champion defeating Toni Storm.

Shida is now a two-time AEW Women’s World Champion bringing an end to Storm’s 67-day reign.
Shida’s first reign took place during the “no fans” era of professional wrestling, with AEW running from Daily’s Place.
Her second reign will now give her the chance to perform, as AEW Women’s Champion, in front of a live audience.

Addressing the victory on Twitter, Shida wrote:

Shida signed with AEW in April 2019 and made her debut at Double or Nothing in May of that year.
At AEW Double or Nothing in May 2020, Shida defeated Nyla Rose in a No Disqualification, No Countout match for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
She would hold the championship until Double or Nothing in May 2021, losing to Dr Britt Baker DMD.
Shida made her return to AEW Dynamite after months away in May 2023, entering into a feud with The Outcasts.
