Former two-time TNT Champion Darby Allin has reflected on being part of Sting’s final run in AEW ahead of his final match.

In October 2023, Sting announced that he will be having the final match of his in-ring career at AEW Revolution 2024 next March.
Since he joined AEW in December 2020 at AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming, Sting has been aligned with former two-time TNT Champion Darby Allin.
The partnership with Darby led to Sting’s return to action, first in a cinematic bout at AEW Revolution 2021, and then in a more regular capacity inside the squared circle. Every Sting match in AEW has featured Allin.

Speaking to Blake Oestiecher of Forbes, Darby Allin has reflected on being part of this final run for The Stinger. He said:
“When I first got paired with Sting, I really did not know how it was gonna go,”
“But to be a part of the final chapter of his career is super important because to me, in a story, the most important part of the story is the end…”
“If you tarnish the end, everyone’s always going to remember that. He has gotten more hunger than a lot of the younger guys on the roster.”
“He’s got nothing to prove, but he pushes the boundaries every time he wrestles.”

Sting and Darby Allin will team with Adam Copeland to face Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne in a trios match this Saturday, November 18 at AEW Full Gear.
