There has been an update on former AEW World Champion MJF’s AEW status amid his ongoing absence from television.

MJF has not appeared on AEW television since the Worlds End pay-per-view in Long Island, where he lost his title to Samoa Joe in the main event.
Following the match, MJF’s friend Adam Cole was revealed as ‘the Devil’, and the new leader of the Undisputed Kingdom alongside Roderick Strong, Wardlow, Mike Bennett and Matt Taven.

With MJF hyping up the ‘bidding war of 2024’ prior to the new year, many have wondered about his status with the company, and we now have an update.
Per PWInsider, MJF is still working to recover from his multiple injuries sustained towards the end of his AEW World Championship reign.

While he has been removed from AEW’s roster page, he is believed to be locked into a deal with the company.
While he was not present at AEW’s Big Business event last month, PWInsider reports that he was in Boston meeting with AEW officials the day after the event.
He has not been present backstage at any AEW events since Worlds End, and there is no word on when he will be set to return to the ring.
