With WWE contracts coming to an end for a number of wrestlers, details of AEW’s stance on free agent signings have been revealed.

It was recently reported that Finn Balor is ‘expected to sign a multi-year’ contract, with the WWE star saying he ‘ain’t going nowhere!’
Meanwhile, it has previously been reported that Drew McIntyre’s WWE contract is expiring ‘in the 5-6 week’ range.

Addressing big names becoming free agents on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated:
“I know that AEW is looking at people whose contracts are up. Whether they get anyone I don’t know, but they’re definitely looking.
“Sometimes you think that they made this big, big investment with Okada, Ospreay and Mercedes and maybe they’re not looking for other people, but they still are.”

One big name unlikely to join AEW is WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg who described the company’s product as “too cheesy.”
On April 19, 2024, it was reported that Jinder Mahal, Xyon Quinn and Xia Li had been released by WWE.
Mahal’s Indus Sher teammates Veer Mahaan and Sanga had both been released, too, with Von Wagner also being cut.
