With Tony Khan in a neck brace following an attack on AEW Dynamite by the Young Bucks and Jack Perry, the reason has now been revealed.

As can be seen from the footage below, Khan was the victim of an attack on the April 24 episode of AEW Dynamite that would see him sporting a neck brace.

Now, Dave Meltzer has revealed the reason for the timing in comments made on Wrestling Observer Radio, saying:
“Part of the reason for sure for the angle that week was so he could go on the NFL Draft with a neck brace and it’d be a publicity stunt for AEW.”

Khan has, indeed, be using the neck brace for publicity, wearing it at the recent NFL Draft.
WWE’s Pat McAfee even commented on Khan’s injury and the neck brace, with his co-host pointing out a minor flaw in the AEW owner’s ‘injury’.
Khan would also sport the neckbrace on a recent NFL Network appearance talking about the Draft and comparing WWE to Harvey Weinstein.

Backstage reaction to Khan’s controversial comparison comments have been revealed.
A recent TMZ Sports interview would see Khan interviewed with the neck brace.
The ‘injury’ storyline will continue to be presented on AEW television with it being recently stated that Khan will run shows “remotely”.
