A new report has provided an update on CM Punk’s first feud following his upcoming AEW Collision return.

On the May 31 edition of AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan announced that the upcoming premiere episode of AEW Collision on Saturday, June 17 from the United Center in Chicago will feature the return of CM Punk.
Punk hasn’t been seen on AEW programming since All Out 2022 following his tirade at the post media scrum and subsequent backstage brawl with The Elite.
As previously reported, Fightful Select reported that Punk was interested in feuding with new AEW star Jay White.

On the latest “SRS Backstage Report” on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp revealed several pitches for possible future opponents and programs for CM Punk.
According to Sapp, the most recent idea discussed is for Punk to align himself with AEW World Tag Team Champions Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR against the Bullet Club Gold’s Jay White and Juice Robinson.
Sapp also noted that Bullet Club Gold could possibly be having some additions to even the odds against Punk and FTR.

FTR has gained the ire of Bullet Club Gold after making the save for Ricky Starks when White and Robinson jumped him backstage at AEW Double Or Nothing. White and Robinson then attacked Harwood and Wheeler on the May 31 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Jay White will face Ricky Starks in a rematch with FTR and Juice Robinson banned from ringside on this Wednesday’s June 7 edition of AEW Dynamite.
Sapp also confirmed that there have previously been “heavy pitches” for Punk to work with Chris Jericho and ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe.
