Big change to AEW championships confirmed

A big change to AEW’s championships has now been confirmed ahead of a match at the company’s AEW Dynasty pay-per-view.

After lengthy storyline together on TV, it was confirmed on this week’s AEW Dynamite that Bang Bang Gang’s Jay White & The Gunns will take on The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass in trios action at this Sunday’s Dynasty pay-per-view.
Not only will this match be a blow-off to their rivalry, but it was also confirmed to be a title for title match with the Bang Bang Gang putting their ROH Six-Man Tag Team Titles on the line, while The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass put up their AEW Trio’s Championships.

While not specified at the time of the match’s announcement, it has now also been confirmed by AEW President Tony Khan that at the AEW Dynasty media scrum that the match will in fact be a title unification bout for the two sets of titles.
Khan also revealed that the match’s rather late announcement was a result of an injury to one of the competitors involved, but did not reveal who exactly.

Thankfully the unnamed individual has now been cleared to compete and the match goes ahead on Sunday during Dynasty’s Zero Hour pre-show.´
